New patients
Your first visit, start to finish.
Our Katy dental office is all about comfort and convenience. Here is what the first visit costs, what to bring, what happens in the room, and where part of your fee goes.

Before You Come
Five things, and the visit runs on time.
This information lets us know a little more about your child, their dental needs and insurance information. Plus, it helps us give you the best care possible.
- The new patient forms
We offer our patient forms to fill out online, or download and fill out at home. Submit them online or bring them to your visit and your child will be in and out in a flash.
- Twenty minutes, if the forms are not done
If you are unable to print or fill out this paperwork at home, please arrive 20 minutes early to your first appointment.
- Your insurance card
We accept and process all insurances. Bring the card and the front desk does the rest.
- Something from home
Bring comfort items like a blanket or toy. Use positive language on the way in, and avoid words like “hurt” or “pain.”
- Your questions
Bottles, pacifiers, thumbs, snacks, brushing. Write them down; the visit is built around answering them.

The Visit
What happens once you are in.
About forty minutes for a first visit. Infants and anxious toddlers are examined on your lap; older children get the chair and the screen.
The front desk
Anabel, Gia or Kebra checks the forms and the insurance card. If you arrived early to fill them in, this is where that happens.
The room
You stay with your child. Parents are always welcome to accompany their child if it helps them feel more comfortable.
Knee to knee, or the chair
A knee-to-knee exam for infants and anxious toddlers. For older children, a cleaning includes gentle plaque removal, polishing, fluoride application, and an oral exam to check teeth, gums, and bite development.
The plan
Anything the exam found, shown to you on the screen, with the price before you leave. We accept most PPO insurance plans and Medicaid for qualified patients.
The next date
Kids should come in every six months for cleanings and checkups. The next one goes in the diary before you go.

Pay It Forward
Your first visit helps a child who is waiting for a home.
A portion of profits from all new patient exams goes to Parks Youth Ranch, a nonprofit focused on providing a stable temporary home for displaced children ages 7 to 17.
As a new patient, you can take part in helping kids who have been abused, abandoned, or neglected. Your donated dollars help provide a safe and supportive environment while a child waits for their new home.
